Madelyn (Madge) Bridget Spiller, age 81, passed away on March 9, 2020 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on November 25, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Peter and Josephine (nee Thompson) Riordan.
Madelyn proudly earned her bachelor’s degree in her forties, and for many years, used her knowledge and expertise to work with with young adults as a teacher’s aide at Buffalo Grove, High School in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing guitar, gardening and water aerobics. She had a witty and sarcastic sense of humor and would often offer dieting advice to others by telling them, “if it tastes good, spit it out.”
Madelyn is survived by her husband of 62 ½ years Paul D. Spiller; her daughter Dawn Spiller; her three sons and their wives, Paul and Mary Spiller, David and Jeanne Spiller and Scott and Bernice Spiller; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
We will celebrate her life with a mass on Friday, April 24th at 2pm at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 1300 NE J St., Bentonville, Arkansas.
