George Jonathan Kemberling, 62 of Rogers, Arkansas passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2020 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas and went to join his Father in heaven. He was born on February 22, 1958 in Knoxville, Tennessee to George and Doris Kemberling.
George graduated from West High School in Knoxville. He was a part of the tennis team and ROTC. After high school George went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. He also completed CAD certification for Architectural and Landscaping Design.
George started his career at Fort Sanders Hospital Maintenance, then did equipment repair at Boeing and finished his career as a GC 2 with Serco.
He loved all sports, and was an avid tennis, golf and ping pong enthusiast. George was also a big supporter of SEC Sports and a Number 1 fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, for both the Football and Women’s Basketball teams.
He loved cookouts, playing sports, travelling and going to the movies. He also collected and had a passion for cartography, studying Maps, charts and Gazetteers.
George was devoted to animal rescue and spent the last 30 years working with Alley Cat Allies and the Humane Society, rescuing and finding homes for abandoned and neglected kittens and cats. He also assisted with fundraising efforts for Animal Sanctuaries like Turpentine Creek.
George is preceded in death by his father, mother and sister.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Marion Kroebel Kemberling, to whom he was totally devoted; also, his brothers-in-law, Martin and Michael Kroebel; his sister-in-law, Bianca Thayer and several beloved fur babies.
