Wendell Charles Elliott, age 51, of Springdale, AR died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on September 14, 1966 to Glen and Karen Eaton Elliott of Marshall, Arkansas. In 1989, he married Amy Harness. They have two sons, Derek and Blake.
Wendell graduated from Marshall High School in 1984. For the last 28 years he has worked in the transportation industry. His true love was coaching youth sports. He spent many years coaching youth baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. Whatever sport his boys were playing, that is what he coached. He loved working with kids and has had a great impact on many boys throughout the years. He has remained in contact with these boys as they got older. He has continued to coach baseball even after his boys were too old to play.
He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Judith Lynn Elliott; maternal grandparents, Roy and Faye Eaton; and paternal grandparents, Lon and Mae Elliott.
Survivors include his wife Amy of 28 years; two sons, Derek and Blake of the home; his parents, Glen and Karen Elliott of Marshall, AR; sister, Sonya LeMarr and husband, Michael of Leslie, AR; brother, Kevin Elliott and wife, Jana of Marshall, AR; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenny and Carla Harness of Marshall, AR; sister–in-law, Mandy Feemster and Jake of Pea Ridge, AR; niece, Christy Slater of Marshall, AR; nephews, Ryan Burns, Devin and Justin Elliott, Bretten Parks all of Marshall, AR and Will and Ryne Feemster of Pea Ridge, AR; one great-niece, Brinkley Slater and one great-nephew Huntley Slater both of Gassville, AR.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 22 at Fellowship Bible Church. Graveside and burial will be in the Dongola Cemetary at 4:00pm.
