Thomas "Jerry" Rusk

July 20, 1941 ~ February 27, 2018 (age 76)

Thomas Jerry Rusk, 76, of Centerton, AR passed away Tuesday February 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 20, 1941 in Bentonville, AR to Thomas Jay and Willa Mae Autry Rusk.

Jerry graduated from Bentonville High School in 1960.  He married his sweetheart Naomi Clark on June 22, 1961. He and his wife milked and raised beef cattle along with their five children, Jerral, Troy, Teresa, Kimberly, and Sherry.

He loved baseball and coached many teams for 18 years including his own boys, Jerral and Troy. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

As a child Jerry was involved in 4-H and showed cattle in FFA. He also worked at the Benton County Sale Barn for 25 years. The last 20 years he sold produce from his garden at his home, the Bentonville Square and in Bella Vista.

Jerry was known for always helping others. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and supporter of Feed the Children, he always loved helping in Vacation Bible School for the children at Oakley. He was a member of Oakley Chapel since 2001.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Burton Rusk, sister, Martha Cowger, and two daughters, Teresa and Kimberly Rusk.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Naomi of the home; children, Jerral Rusk of Mansfield, Ohio, Troy Rusk of Decatur, AR and Sherry Rusk of Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Jerry and Erica Rusk of Ohio, Jessica and Cory Perry of Ohio, Tom and Brittany Rusk of Ohio, Taylor and Chris Loucks of Gravette, AR, Ashley Rusk of Claremore, OK, Tiffaney Rusk of Tulsa, OK, Cortney Rusk of Centerton, AR and Amber and Chad Cook of Centerton, AR; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lilly, Layla & Lucas, Koda & Carlee, Cole& Zane, Lana & Wyatt,  Jace, Macee & Jaxon; extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 2, 2018 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church, 203 S. Promenade Blvd. Rogers, AR 72758, with Pastor Shane Pair and the Rev. Jim Keith.

Jerry’s family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the Circle of Life Hospice, the nurses and aids care was superb.

Memorials may be made to Oakley UMC in Jerry’s honor.
