Monica Jane Burns

Monica Jane Burns, 37, of Golden, Missouri and formally of Rogers, Arkansas died Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Golden, Missouri.  She was born January 23, 1980 in Garden City, Kansas to Jerry Ray Burns and Machelle Burns Macomber.

She was a 1998 graduate of Rogers High School. She was a loving mother of 3 amazing children. She was a free spirit that flowed with the wind. She never knew a stranger and was waiting with a joke.  She was always willing and ready to give the shirt off her back to anyone that needed it. Her other joys in life were reading, spending time with her children, and being in nature.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, June Arwine and her paternal grandparents, John and Pat Burns.

Monica is survived by her three children, E. Cephas Stinnett of Rogers, Arkansas, Elliot Towner of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Elona Widhalm of Golden, Missouri; her mother, Machelle Macomber of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her father, Jerry Burns and wife, Jo of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Missie McDermott of Rogers, Chastie Crawford and husband, Marcus of Rogers, Pasty Snyder and husband, Travis of Olton, Texas, Millie Dacus of Liberty, Missouri; her maternal grandfather, Joe Arwine of Cimmeron, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. 

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, Friday, November 24, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been established to help with the education and care of Monica’s children. Donations may be made at any ARVEST Bank under the name “The Kids.”
