Melania Carpenter Wingfield, 63, passed peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR on April 29, 2018.

She loved all of them with all her heart.

Melania was born June 12, 1954, in Pocahontas, AR. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1972 and obtained a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Arkansas.

She had many interests and pursued them with zest and determination. Over the years, she worked as a paralegal, right-of-way agent, real estate broker and appraiser. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan, and worked for Sports Magazines Inc., of Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years as the production manager of Sooners Illustrated and several other sports publications.

Melania most recently resided in Winnie, Texas with her husband, David. Tulsa was her previous home for many years.

She leaves behind many dear friends who considered her part of their family.

Melania also had a deep love and passion for animals, especially strays without a home. Melania wasn’t interested in a material life. She was much more interested in people and life experiences. When she set her sights on a goal or helping someone, it was with a single-minded focus from which she was rarely deterred or distracted. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as being fiercely loyal and a warrior to the end.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, the American Diabetes Association, or the Animal Rescue of your choice.

A private service will be held at a later date.
