Karlyn Spaulding Perkins, 65, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly due to heart issues, Monday, August 21, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born July 31, 1952 in Rogers, Arkansas to Carl H. Spaulding and Jacquelyn Rockwood Spaulding. She married Michael Blaine Perkins, April 15, 1989 and they spent their time together taking on various adventures, like raising cattle and 5 children.
She was a woman of God and showed it through her kindness and compassion for others and she whole heartedly loved her family. We spent many nights sitting at the table playing games, talking, telling jokes and laughing till we hurt thru the wee hours of the night. She loved people and animals; had a soft spot for dogs, particularly dachshunds. She also had an ornery streak, she loved to joke and play pranks on people, but was able to take it as well as dish it out. She loved corny jokes and was very witty, so you had to be careful with your words, she would catch you off guard. A few of her favorite things were cherry vanilla limeades from Sonic, the color purple and she loved BBQ. She attended and graduated from Sooner High School in Bartlesville, OK, she was proud to be a Spartan. Her hobbies included cross-stitching till her hands wouldn’t work the way she wanted them to, then she took up jewelry making. She loved making bracelets that shined and sparkled and prided herself on making each and every one of them unique. Another hobby of hers was spending time with her grandkids, she loved them all so much!
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl H. Spaulding and Jacquelyn Spaulding, her grandmother Pink and grandmother Dorothy, grandfathers, niece Kayla Spaulding and aunts and uncles.
Karlyn is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Blaine Perkins; her children Staci Miller (David Miller), Dustin Burkart (Tiffany Burkart), Christopher Perkins (Claire Perkins), Neil Perkins (Alicia Perkins), and Matthew Perkins (Kyla Perkins); her brothers Scott Spaulding and Michael Spaulding (Rhonda Spaulding); and her grandchildren Michael Miller, Zachari Miller, Connor Burkart, Cayde Burkart, Isaac Burkart, Daniel Burkart, Vincent Perkins, Lillian Perkins, Abigail Perkins and Amelia Perkins.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30AM, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time.
