Ellen Claire Holt

Ellen Claire (Hatcher) Holt, 93, of Bella Vista, AR was born July 29, 1924 and departed this life November 6, 2017 at Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville, AR.

She was born in Memphis, TN to Harold and Nell Hatcher and attended White Haven high school where she met the love of her life, Charlie Holt in 1940.

Ellen and Charlie were married June 1, 1942 and shared almost 74 years of marriage.  After WWII, Charlie and Ellen settled in Oklahoma City, OK and then retired in 1980 moving to Rogers, AR and then to Bella Vista, AR.  Charlie and Ellen had a loving marriage that was centered on their love for each other and their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Charlie and Ellen had two children, Kaye (Hahn) and Charlie Jr.

Ellen loved her role as homemaker and enjoyed supporting her husband as an independent used truck dealer by traveling with him all across the United States.

Ellen was very active in her local churches (Nichols Hills Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK, Immanuel Baptist Church, Rogers, AR, Bella Vista Baptist and Village Baptist Church, Bella Vista, AR) and taught numerous Sunday school classes, led and co-led countless Bible studies, discipled many young women and volunteered her time at the Crisis Pregnancy Center of NWA.

Ellen is survived by a son, Charlie Holt, Jr. and wife, Polly; a grandson, Charles M. Holt, III (Chaz) of Monroe, OK; one granddaughter, Kelly Lynn (Hahn) Miller and husband, Kelly Gene Miller; great grandson, Jared Miller; great granddaughter, Allison Miller of Rogers, AR; son-in-love, John Hahn and wife, Sharon of Rogers, AR.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, November 13, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.

Memorial visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers, AR.
