Betty Lou Anderson, 87, of Carlisle, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born May 6, 1932 in Pueblo, Colorado to Louis Henry and Mary Snyder Greer.
She worked as a secretary at the Colorado Springs, Colorado Juvenile Probation Department for 25 years. After retirement, she moved to Arkansas to live with family but kept herself busy by investing in the lives of young children. She babysat for her grandchildren and enjoyed reading to students at the Carlisle Elementary School Library.
Betty loved daises, anything and everything pink, enjoyed vanilla ice cream and loved her two furry friends, Missy and Icy. Her favorite holiday was “May Day,” a tradition her children still carry on today.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dick Greer.
Betty was devoted to her family and leaves four children, Becky and Joe Young of Carlisle, AR, Beth Pillard and husband, Kurt of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara Anderson of Bella Vista, AR, Greer Anderson of Larkspur, CO; six grandchildren, Zach Young and wife, Dara, Jed Young and wife, Ru, Hunter Young and wife, Mandy, Morgan Conticelli and husband, Adam, Mallory Pillard and Chase Anderson; seven great grandchildren, Caroline, Charlotte, Gwendolyn, Scarlett, Annabel, Juliet, Mabry; three brothers, Terry Lee Greer and wife, Janet, Greg Lattimer, and Wally Lattimer and one sister-in-law, Shirley Lattimer.
She will be laid to rest in Pueblo, CO at a later date.
