Eileen Wright, 90, of Rogers died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at her residence.  She was born
January 31, 1919 in Central City, Iowa the daughter of Burt  I. McDonald and Ora Arnold
McDonald.  
She joined a “Rosie the Riveter” munitions crew during World War II to help support the war
effort at home, while her husband served in Europe.  She was a life-long United Methodist,
most recently affiliated with First United Methodist Church of Rogers.  Her wonderful desserts
and scrumptious biscuits testified to her skills in the kitchen.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Donald Edwin Wright in
2006; and one brother, George.  
Eileen Wright is survived by one sister, Bethel Lowe of Lebanon, Missouri; three nieces, Karen
E. Harter of Belvidere, Illinois, Karla Lowe-Phelps and husband Russel of Lebanon, Missouri,
Kathy Duke and husband Marshall of Georgetown, Texas;   two nephews, James Bottomley
and wife Cindy of  Kentucky,  and Tom Bottomley and wife Kay of Ohio.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Stockdale
Funeral Services in Rogers.  
Graveside Services will be held at 5:00PM Wednesday, September 16, 2009 following the
visitation at Rogers City Cemetery with the Rev. Sandra Wanasek officiating.
