John Steven Walters

John Steven Walters, 63, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away peacefully
Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, surrounded by family. He was born Aug. 9,
1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Otto Neal and Martha Watters Walters.

John’s passion was cars, especially corvettes. He was a corvette
encyclopedia. He always had an aptitude for nicknaming people and
things. His unique sense of humor will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Steven; his in-
laws, Al and Wintress Flynt; five sisters, Dorothy Weiner, Ruth Bailey,
Lola Belle Walker, Sally Fancher and Patty Sue Stubbs; three brothers,
Neal Walters Jr., James Walters and Tom Walters.

John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cindy; a son, Kristian Walters
of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Courtney McClintock and husband,
Brad, of Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Peggy Davidson of Gentry, Ark., and
Martha Jo Pritchard of Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Betty
Flynt (his best buddy) of Bentonville, Ark., and Rita Walters of
Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Braxton, Reece and Hayden
McClintock, all of Olathe, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family burial at Hart’s Cemetery.

several memories of him at the hospital and of course the last time I saw
him... May God be with you and give you peace in the coming days and
months. Our memories are always with us and we keep those we love
close in that way. Sorry I am not able to be there.
