Robert Dale (Bob) Price, 86, of Bentonville, AR died May 20, 2011 at Ashley Health and
Rehabilitation in Rogers, AR.
Bob was born January 21, 1925 to Richard Hunter Price and Eva Corrine (Whittaker)
Price in Pueblo, CO. After graduating from Central High School in Pueblo he served three
years in the U.S. Navy, during which time he married Doris Lee Johnson. He worked for
IBM in San Jose, CA and Denver, CO before retiring to Bella Vista, AR in 1982. Soon
after arriving in Bella Vista, Bob saw a need for transportation service and began “The
Village Chauffeur”. In 1999 Bob and Doris Lee were among the first residents of Osage
Terrace in Bentonville.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother’s Meredith and Alan and sister’s
Virginia and Betty.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Doris Lee of Bentonville; sons Norman (Katy) of
Loveland, CO and Brian of Bella Vista; daughters Diane Turner McWilliams (John) and
Karen Jones (Ron) of Bella Vista; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be May 29, 2:30 - 4:00 at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers with a
memorial service immediately following. Private interment will be at Fayetteville National
Cemetery.
