Leroy Beryl “Lee” McCann, 79, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away
May 28, 2015 at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was
born October 31, 1935 in Valley City, North Dakota to Cecil Beryl
McCann and Mary Christine Schwehr McCann.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War Era.
Lee loved to work with his hands doing yard work, woodwork and
fishing. He enjoyed all these things so much better when he had his
children and grandchildren beside him.
He loved The Lord with all his heart and was a faithful husband, father,
grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Lee and his wife, Vonnie had
such a great love for family that while raising their own children they
opened their home to over 50 very much loved foster children in a 15
year period.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard McCann in
1999; one brother, Mike McCann and one sister, Betty Deymenaz.
Lee is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vonnie Wright McCann;
children, Lester McCann and wife, Kathy of Bentonville, Arkansas,
Rousha Gauthier and husband, Bruce of Orlando, Florida, Cindy
Limson and husband, Steve of Bentonville, Arkansas, Jeremy McCann
and wife, Michelle of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Michelle “Mitchell”
Hayes and husband, John of Pea Ridge; two god-daughter's, Ginny
Walls of Washington and Mary Christine McCann Deal of Nashville,
Tennessee; grandchildren, Garry Cole, Kaley and Jon Nelson, Lola and
Andy Cable, Thomas and Ashley Cole, Stephen and Ashley Limson,
Christopher and Jonnetta McCann, Alora McCann, Jenni “Foo Foo,”
Murch and husband, Levi, Paul Baker, Dustin Baker, and Richard
McCann, Jr; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Bryce Cole, Kayden and
Keegan Cole, Ben, Jacob & Alyssa Nelson, Drew, Titus & Wheeler
Cable, Madison Limson, Aibel McCann, Milo Murch, Elizabeth Baker;
one brother, Bob McCann and wife, Linda; two sisters, Barbara Huber
and husband, Joe, Donna Gainsforth and husband, Dick and many loved
nieces, nephews and dear friends.
