For many years I had heard about this boy named EJ. Last summer
while in Arkansas visiting my grandchildren, I got the chance to meet
him. He helped me put the bunk bed together for Caden. He was so
kind, so genuine, so patient and such a good listener as we exchanged
stories about my grandkids. He was the big brother they never had; he
meant so much to them and they are missing him. My heart goes out to
them as I cannot be there at this desperate time, but most importantly I
send my deepest sympathy to all of EJ's family & friends. He was a
great kid and will be missed. I believe that God's angels are with him.
You are ALL in my Prayers.
Respectfully, Cheryl, Grandmother of the Rabalais children
I loved ej. Ej was my very first friend when i started at lingle middle
school. I never could have seen this coming at all. Ej always let me sit
with him at lunch. He talked to me. And was very polite to be around. I
loved ej as a friend and always will. I wish this could have been a
dream and to wake and he still be here. I cried when i heard about this
tragedy. Ej was a talented hero. God needed an angel fast a got an
amazing talented angel. Love you bro.
See you later.

I never knew it was possible for a heart to break this bad for someone I
didn't know personally. The name EJ rang in my ears when my loving
niece Lauren would talk about him. That was her big brother. And
when my sweet nephew talked about BMX bikes EJ's name would be
right there. And I can't forget little Sydney who with big bright eyes
looked up to EJ like he belonged in the family. And he was a part of the
family. It makes me sad to think that I really never got a chance to say
hello for very long, or goodbye. I know EJ is a good person and
impacted many lives of people, including mine. If I could turn back the
hands of Time I would have changed his life for the better, and we
would have been true friends. For the million smiles you put on
Lauren's, Caden's, s quid's, and Papa Earl's face, EJ, I send you an
angel.
Love in God, Ginger Peoples and my beautiful daughter Autumn Bela.
(She will always remember you and the good times you spent together
in Arkansas 2013 with the Rabalais family)
As we attended the funeral for EJ, we learned a lot about him. One
thing we couldn’t help but notice how many kids were talking about
how he helped them in some way, mostly by listening to problems and
encouraging kids. He also helped some of those who were bullied
including our daughter. EJ had an impact on so many lives. We hope
and pray that one day soon you may find peace and know that he must
have been an angel loaned to the world for just a little while. Our
hearts and prayers go out to your family and all of his friends.

Elijah was a special child of God. I am honored to have spent time
with him recently and will always remember him. Blessings to all who
were graced by his pretense.

I've known Ej for 8 years. He was my best friend, but before he pasted,
we stopped talking. I'm missing him more and more each day. I still
remember everything he ever said to me. But he's in a better place now,
and I know he's watching over me. He's an Angel, my guardian angel. I
love you kiddo.
We met E J when his family visited us in Florida, last year. We
enjoyed him so much. He was the “perfect guest” and was such a happy
person. The time was short, the next visit will never come, but he will
always be in our hearts.
