Thomas Mitchell Hill, 52, of Bentonville, AR passed
away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Circle of Life
Hospice Legacy Village surrounded by his family. He
was born July 28, 1963 in Las Vegas, NV to Joe Delton
and Charlotte Waseleski Hill.
One of Tom’s most endearing memories is his time as a
letterman on the Razorback football team. According to
former head football coach Ken Hatfield and the then
team’s chaplain, Dr. H. D. McCarty, Tom was not only a
personal standout athletically, but also of impactive
spiritual influence on the players. Tom will never be
forgotten by the staff and his teammates. Both Hatfield
and McCarty will participate in his service. Dean Weber
longtime head team trainer, commented that Tom was
one of the finest young men to ever come through the
Razorback program.
He loved playing golf, reading, writing, the outdoors, and
grilling.
He loved his family more than anything in the world and
always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams in
life.
Tom was a deacon and faithful member of First Baptist
Church in Bentonville. He worked for Walmart Home
Office for 9 years and loved his work family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte and
one brother, Joe Hill.
Tom is survived by his wife, Penny Hill; a daughter,
Kathryn Hill; a son, Thomas Blayne Hill; his father, Joe
Hill and wife, Wanda; and two sisters, Carolyn
Holbrooks and Anita Adams.
