Velma Hall 87, of Rogers, died Thursday February 28, 2008 in Springdale, Arkansas
She was born July 18, 1920 in Gregory, South Dakota to Frank Powell and Alice Kenastom Powell.
Velma lived at Fountain Plaza in Rogers, loved to cook, play cards, fish, and was an excellent seamstress. Velma
raised Shetland ponies for her family’s entertainment. She was a member of the Hand & Foot Club, The
Widowers, and was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers. She moved to Northwest
Arkansas in 1992 from Camp Verde, Arizona.
Survivors include two daughters Jacque Hargus and her husband Chuck, of Bentonville, Gwenda Barnes of
Cottonwood, Arizona ; a brother Vern “Buck” Powell of Lakewood, California; 8 grandchildren, 21 great
grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Marvin
Hall , a son Duane Hall, 9 siblings, and 1 great grandchild..
Cremation arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
There will be a memorial service to be announced and held at a later date.
