Paul Frederick Griesenauer, 83, of Rogers, AR passed away, Monday,
May 4, 2015 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born February 14, 1932 in
Dardenne, MO to Fred E. and Mathilda Auchley Griesenauer.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Paul
was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks
Lodge, the Moose Club, and most recently with the Rogers Adult Wellness
Center Pinochle Clubs.
He was an extremely devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic
Church in Rogers.
Paul was always self employed and an avid entrepreneur. His many
business ventures included a realty company and
building/owning/operating the Statue Road Inn in Eureka Springs. He
loved playing cards and considered his middle name to be “Pinochle.” His
only greater loves were the Lord, his wife and his precious family.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann; his parents and
a sister, Margie Kister.
Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Agnes Becker
Griesenauer; three sons, Fred Griesenauer, Dan Griesenauer, Dennis
Griesenauer and wife, Amanda; two daughters, Elaine Routsong and
husband, Dr. Rodney Routsong, Jean Lancaster and husband, Bill all of
Rogers; two brothers, John Griesenauer and wife, Barbara of St. Peters,
MO, Neal Griesenauer of Winter Haven, FL; one sister, GiGi Schnieder of
St. Charles, MO; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, May 11, 2015 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rosary beginning at
A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St.
Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Inurnment will be at 2:00PM
at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville with full military honors provided.
We are so sorry for your loss. I'M so glad we got to see when we
returned. He will be missed and remembered. The Hamilton's
