William Alton “Mr. Bill” Crabtree

William Alton “Mr. Bill” Crabtree, 68, of Bentonville, Arkansas
passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his home, surrounded by
his loving family.  He was born May 22, 1947 in Bentonville to
Sherman Delbert and Mary Elizabeth Pennington Crabtree.

Bill graduated from Bentonville High School in 1966.  He was an
avid supporter of BHS sports and was well known as the Bentonville
Tiger's #1 fan. He was a 1968 graduate of Oklahoma State Tech in
Okmulgee, Ok.  He worked for Wendt Sonis, TRW and retired from
Walmart.  

He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in
Bentonville, where he was actively involved with the youth ministry.
Bill was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Bentonville Jaycees, FCA
and a Lifetime Member of the BHS Booster Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Virginia Mae
Bush and Peggy Ruth Crabtree, and one brother, Joe David Crabtree.

Bill is survived by his brother, Jimmie Crabtree and wife, Sue, of
Bentonville; brother-in-law, Vonden Bush of Bentonville; sister-in-
law, June Crabtree of Rogers, AR, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00PM, Tuesday, January 19,
2016, in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 20, 2016
at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with the Reverend
Dr. Kurt Boggan officiating.  Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery in
Pea Ridge, AR.

Memorials may be made to the Bentonville Tiger Athletic Dept, 1702
SE “J” Street, Bentonville, AR 72712 or to the FUMC Youth Group
in care of First United Methodist Church,  201 NW 2nd St,
Bentonville, AR 72712.
