Leona E. Bowden, 91, of Rogers died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in
Rogers. She was born September 20, 1918 in Mountainburg, Arkansas to
William Anderson and Lydia Sumner Anderson.
She was a nurse and spent her life serving and caring for the needs of
others. She loved to cook and spend time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Erma D. Peel and husband Toby of
Rogers, 3 brothers Thurman Anderson and wife Dorothy of Porterville,
CA, William Anderson and wife Rose of Porterville, CA, Gene Anderson
and wife Marie of Reedley, CA.; two sisters, Verna Brunson of Livingston,
TX., Velma Sims of Manteca, CA.; one granddaughter Gina Peel and two
great grandchildren, Mike and Tony Wishon.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM Tuesday, September 29,
2009 at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 30,
2009 at the Rogers City Cemetery with Pastor James Longmate officiating.
