Darvone “Darv” Anton Baier, 80, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away
Friday, October 16, 2015 at Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas.  
He was born April 1, 1935 in New Ulm, MN to Anton and Estelle
Suess Baier.

He was proud to have served in United States Marines in Korea and
Japan.  He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.  He
was of the Catholic faith.

He loved life.  He never met a stranger and loved telling jokes and
stories and making people smile.  He enjoyed going out on the lake
and fishing with his son, Brad every Sunday and Thursday.  He was
an avid gardener.  He loved to cook and have parties.  His specialty
was BBQ Ribs and sauerkraut.  He also loved making daily trips to
Walmart.

Darv loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his puppies very
much.  He spent as much time with them as he could.   
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kelly and one brother,
Jim Baier.

Darv is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean Gleisner Baier; son,
Brad Baier and wife, Angelia of Rogers; daughter, Stacie Baier of
Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law, Wendy South of Grand Island, NE; one
sister, LaDonna Alfson; one sister-in-law, Dolores Baier; 7
grandchildren,  Adrian J. Baier-Ruiz, Libby J. Giedraitis, Kyrra
Baier, Jaron Baier, Savana Clausen and husband Chad, Travis Baier
and wife Cassie, Shamlynn Berggren and husband Troy and 7 great-
grandchildren, Jocelyn, Taylor, Zaden, Naleah, Colten, Brayden and
Brooklyn.

Visitation will be from 1:00PM until 4:00PM, Tuesday, October 20,
2015 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers with a Rosary
at 3:00PM.  Following the Rosary military honors will be provided.  
Memorials may be made in memory of Darv Baier to the Wounded
Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or to the

CONDOLENCES

Darv was a true blessing from God.  He showed such great
compassion and joy for life and others.  We were neighbors for
years and he welcomed us and treated us as family with the love of
Christ.  His life was well lived with meaning and purpose.  He
impacted so many lives with his example of love towards others.  A
life very well lived.  Our love to Jean and the entire family.

Jeannie and family,  We are so sorry to hear of Darvs' passing.  We
will remember him always for his jovial attitude, his warm and
caring heart and all the visits we were able to have with him.  We
are honored to call him our cousin, friend, and a man that served his
country well. We pray for you in your mourning and ask that our
Lord be with you, comfort you and bless you!! We will be sending a
gift in his honor and memory to the Wounded Warrior Project Love
and Blessings, Gary, Gayl, and family.
