Wilma Dean Grimes Austin, 76, of Bentonville, Arkansas,
died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Highlands of
Rogers Health Care and Rehabilitation. She was born
March 28, 1938, in Camden, Alabama, the daughter of
Will Grimes and Luerania Thompson Grimes.
Wilma graduated from Walker County Training School in
Jasper, Alabama with the class of 1956.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years,
John Austin.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Austin-Wingood
of Bentonville; a son-in-law, Bryant Wingood of
Bentonville; two granddaughters, Ali and Priya Wingood
of Bentonville; two brothers Giles (Mary) Grimes of
Glendale, Wisconsin, and Eades Grimes of El Paso, Texas;
and a sister, Hattie M. Oglen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15 at 3:30 p.
m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 406 West Central
Avenue, Bentonville, Arkansas with Father Roger Joslin
officiating.
