Lela Mae Wright, 85, of Bentonville passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Bentonville. She
was born May 8, 1924 in Swain, Arkansas to Ralph Swain and Dolly Mae Swain.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bentonville; and very active in the
American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a Cub Scout and Brownie Scout Den Mother,
Demolay and Rainbow Girls Auxiliaries. She was a loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one grandson.
Lela is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Morris Wright; three sons, John Wright, Jr.
of Houston, Texas, Bill Wright and wife Martha of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ralph Wright and
wife Helen of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter Julia Ann Hoffman of San Diego, California;
one brother Johnny Swain of Lincoln, Arkansas; seven granddaughters; and seven great
grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:00PM Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Bentonville Cemetery with
the Reverend Susan Ledbetter officiating.
