Roena Jo Wells, 93, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January
31, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born August, 4,
1918 in Lowell, Arkansas to William Lephly Beard and Martha Jane Jones
Beard.
The Beard families moved to the Lowell area in 1866, and were some of
the first settlers. Roena Jo attended Center Corner School in Lowell. She
was a gracious hostess, wonderful homemaker, a precious loving sister,
and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Wells; and four sisters,
Thurma Rozar, Era Mabry, Berniece Beard, and Annette Alderson.
Roena Jo is survived by three brothers, Harold Beard of Pea Ridge, AR,
Clint Beard and wife Leota of Lowell, AR, Layne Beard and wife Connie
of Pea Ridge, AR; two sisters, Vida Marler of Rogers, AR, Ada Davenport
of Rogers, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM, Sunday, February 5, 2012
at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
Graveside services will be at 2:00PM, Monday, February 6, 2012 at
Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers with Pastor Randy
Parks officiating.
