Curtis Homer Swanson, 70, of Bentonville, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his
residence.  He was born June 12, 1939 in Claremont, South Dakota to Homer T. Swanson and
Edith Miller Swanson.  
He honorably served in the United States Air Force.  He loved to tinker in his shop and enjoyed
spending time on the computer keeping up with family and friends.  When he made a friend he
kept them for life.   He retired from Emerson Electric and currently worked at Bob Morey’s
Auto Body in Bentonville.  Curtis loved his family and set a wonderful example for his wife and
girls as he proudly walked with the Lord all his life.  
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon (Shari) Swanson; three daughters, Amber
Morey and husband Bob of Bentonville, Amanda Gibbs and husband Pat of Pea Ridge, Marcia
Beck and husband Bill of Bentonville; three sisters, Mavis Johansen of Pipestone, Minnesota,
Marcia Hieb and husband Harlan of Mitchell, South Dakota, Sharon Thompson and husband
Hank of Rapid City, South Dakota; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Stockdale
Funeral Services in Rogers.  
Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Grace Point Church in
Bentonville with Rev. Ben Rowell officiating.  Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery with full
military honors.  Memorials may be made in honor of Curtis Swanson to curePC.org.
