Patsy Robinson
July 26, 1925-January 23, 2010
Wichita Falls, Texas
As gracefully as she lived her life, our beloved Pat Johnson Robinson left her earthly journey to
join our Lord in Heaven on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Springdale, Arkansas.
Born Patsy Ann Johnson to Oscar Chunn Johnson and John Pink Johnson on July 26, 1925 in
McAlester, Oklahoma, Pat was raised in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High
School.  She attended Oklahoma State University and was a proud member of Chi Omega
which she faithfully supported throughout her life.
A beautiful and fun loving woman, Pat married the love of her life, Rudy Robinson, on
December 7, 1946.  Pat worked and supported Rudy through dental school and then they
settled in Burkburnett, Texas where they raised their four children.  Married for 51 years, Pat
and Rudy established a successful dental practice with offices in Burkburnett and at Shepherd
AFB in Wichita Falls.  Active in volunteer efforts in both the Burkburnett and Wichita Falls
communities, they were members of the Wichita Falls Country Club, Carrousel Dance Club,
and Wichita Club.
Pat’s proudest moments involved her children and their accomplishments. She earned her pilot’
s license and was an accomplished bridge player, avid snow skier and world traveler.  A
woman of devout faith, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett where
she was baptized and was a member of Evonne Eastman’s Sunday School Class.
Forever gracious and charming, Pat always had a beautiful smile on her face and lived her life
with dignity.  She was interested in others rather than herself and wanted to know what was
important to them and what was going on in their lives.  Her grandchildren loved her famous
chocolate chip cookies and banana pancakes and she reminded them to stand up straight, look
people in the eye, give a firm hand shake and remember to have fun.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children:  Rudy R. Robinson III and wife
Judy of Marble Falls, Texas, Dr. John Robinson and wife Debbie of Houston, Texas, Janey
Kinnard and husband Rick of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and David Robinson and wife Denise of
Austin, Texas.
Especially missing their Granny are her grandchildren: Kelley Brown and husband Brandon,
Rachelle Guerin and husband Chris, Kyle Kinnard and wife Marcye, Jennifer Latimer and
husband Chris, Amanda Robinson, Amie Robinson, Paul Robinson, Mary Claire Robinson,
Angela Venuk and husband Fred, and Byron Williams and wife Julie.  Pat leaves twelve great
grandchildren:  Emma Grace Brown, Noah Brown, Jack Guerin, Will Guerin, Jack Hudson
Kinnard, William Cohen Kinnard, Caleb Latimer, Max Latimer, Cade Venuk, Cole Venuk,
Brooks Williams and Parker Williams.  In addition, she is survived by her brother-in-law Harold
Lackie, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Orlean and Bill Hunter, nieces, nephews and too many
friends to name.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Dr. Rudolph R. Robinson, Jr., her parents, sisters Louise
Seelig and Polly Lackie, daughter-in-law Patti Pearson Robinson, brother-in-law Lyle Seelig,
and her dear friend of 60 years Marilyn Robertson.
Pat’s family treasures their many years of friendship with Marilyn Robertson and the Robertson
family and truly appreciates their love for Pat and the help they offered whenever needed.  The
close friendship of Jean McAden whom Pat always thought of as her sister has been a blessing
to all, and the tender care provided by Rolling Meadows of Wichita Falls, Texas and The
Maples of Springdale, Arkansas will always be remembered.
Following a family graveside service, Rev. William F. Liggett will conduct a memorial service
celebrating Pat’s life at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist
Church, Burkburnett, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, Pat’s family requests contributions to either
the Dr. Rudolph Robinson Dental Hygiene Scholarship, Midwestern State University, MSU
Donor Services, 3410 Taft, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308 or the First Baptist Church Building
Fund, 316 East 4th Street, Burkburnett, Texas  76354.
