Lillian Mae Bolain Anderson Murphree age 96 of Bentonville, Arkansas died June 17, 2011 at
her home.  She was born November 27, 1914 in McDonald County Missouri to Edgar Bolain
and Millie McCool Bolain.  She lived with her parents north of Pea Ridge the first four years of
her life.  She then moved to the Bella Vista area where she lived until 1962 when she moved to
Bentonville.  She was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ since 1951.
She married Louis Anderson in November of 1935.  They were married for 12 years when he
died in April of 1947.  She later married Doil “Jack” Murphree on March 29, 1950 and they
were married for 39 years until he passed away in May of 1989.
Her hobbies were quilting and working in her flowers.  She quilted over 50 quilts in her life
which she gave to family and friends.  She enjoyed taking pictures, family history, and loved
dolls and would make various outfits for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Esther Griffin, and three brothers, Luther
Bolain, Leonard Bolain, and L.P. Bolain.  She was also preceded in death by her step-son, Doyle
Murphree and step-daughter, LaRue Sumner.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann Anderson Pinner and husband Doyle of
Bentonville.  Two grandchildren, Dawn Pinner Reddell and husband Tim of Bentonville, and
Darren Pinner and wife Robin of Highfill.  Two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ryleigh Reddell
of Bentonville and two step-great-grandchildren, Kendall Varner of Bella Vista, and Matt Varner
of Bentonville.  She is also survived by two step-daughters, Shirley Murphree White of
Russellville, Arkansas, and Linda Murphree Register and husband Mike of Dothan, Alabama.  
Seven step-grandchildren, Carlyss Ducote and husband Jim and Cindy Smith of Alexandria,
Louisana,  Rhonda Higgs and LuAnn Donohue of Van Buren, Arkansas, Debi Barnes of Little
Rock, Arkansas, Terry Don Brewer and wife Noriko of Mililani, Hawaii, and Scott Brewer and
wife Kris of New Market, Alabama. A number of step-great grandchildren and step-great-great
grandchildren.  A sister, Lorena Winch and husband Jerry of Springdale, Arkansas and a sister-
in-law, Ann Bolain of Bentonville.  A number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Bentonville Church of Christ
with Walter Buchanan and Walton Hook officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bentonville
Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 1:00PM until service time.
