Simone “Mama” A. Mooney of Shrebrooke, Quebec , 99, passed away
peacefully at her daughter’s home in Bentonville, AR, Saturday, November
12, 2011. She was born October 16, 1912 in Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada to
Urgel Desmarais and Marie Quintal Desmarais.
Simone was a wonderful homemaker, dress designer and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alan Mooney in 1995, and
twelve siblings.
Simone is survived by one daughter, Margaret Butler and husband Francis of
Bentonville, AR; many nieces and nephews; one cousin; and numerous, kind
friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at
Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers with the Rosary being prayed at 7:15PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00AM Wednesday, November 16,
2011 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonville, AR with Father Scott
Marczuk officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Canada.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Visiting Angels
and Circle of Life for all their hard work and care.
