Siloam Springs, AR (formerly of Rogers, AR)
Betty Jean Bushong Knisley, age 86, of Siloam Springs, AR (formerly of
Rogers, AR), departed this life, on Sunday, December 11, 2011 in Siloam
Springs, AR.  Betty was born in Tecumseh, MO, on October 15, 1925 to
Melvin Commodore and Mary May Bushong, the youngest of six siblings.

Betty was a business owner in Gainesville, MO and worked for the State
of Missouri.  She traveled extensively, beginning in 1944, when along with
her infant daughter, Judy, traveled between both coasts to meet her
husband when he was on leave from the U.S. Navy during World War II.
She continued to travel throughout her life, always wanting to see and learn
new things.  Betty always wanted to be on the go and encouraged others
around her to travel and learn.  She enjoyed reading and staying up to date
on events.  Betty loved and spoiled her dogs, as well.  She attended the
Church of Christ.

Betty married Alfred Farless in 1943, the father of their two children, Judy
and David.  She was also married to William E. Beezley and A. Knisley.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands.

Betty lived the majority of her life in Springfield, MO.  She moved to
Rogers, AR in 1995 and to Siloam Springs, AR in 2005 to be close to her
grandson, Monty Balk and his wife, Brenda, her caregivers in her later life.
Betty (Mom and Grandma) loved her family very much in her own unique
way, which each member can only express in their own heart.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 brothers, Sanford
Bushong, Dorman Bushong, Bernie Bushong and one sister Bernice
Reynolds and two half-brothers, Cecil Bushong and Vest Bushong.  Her
daughter, Judy Balk, preceded her death in 1993 as well as her
daughter-in-law, Nancy Farless, in November of this year.

Betty is survived by her son, David Farless, of Springfield, MO; one
grandson, Monty Balk and his wife, Brenda, of Siloam Springs, AR.  Two
great-grandchildren, Jayson Balk and his wife, Lindsey, of Springdale, AR
and Kelli Balk Sanders and her husband, Zbow, of Siloam Springs, AR and
three great-great grandchildren, Addie and Allison Balk and Hunter
Sanders.
