Charles “Chuck” LeRoy Kitterman, 75, passed away on Wednesday
April 1, 2015, at his home in Rogers, Arkansas.  
    Chuck was born on October 22, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa.  
Following graduation from Des Moines Tech High School, in 1959,
Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps., where he proudly served for 4
years and achieved the rank of Corporal B-4 and was awarded the Good
Conduct Medal.  Even after his discharge in 1963, Chuck continued to
support his fellow Marines and never missed a reunion.  
    Chuck married his wife, Rita June Hager, in 1965, and they moved
from Des Moines to Rogers in 1971, where he went to work for
Continental Can Company, now Smurfit-Stone, until he retired.  In his
retirement, Chuck loved fishing on Beaver Lake with his grandkids,
attending the horse races, gardening, driving his Mustang, and playing
with his dog Bailey.
    Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Harry LeRoy “Roy”
Kitterman and Madeline Chassie Kitterman, née Bloom.  He is survived
by his loving wife of 49 years, Rita June Kitterman; his two daughters
and sons-in-law, Sherry and Roger Hawkins of Cave Springs, AR and
Shelly and Don Brown of Bixby, OK; four grandchildren, Chandler
Hawkins, Zach Brown, Logan Hawkins, and Whitney Brown; two
brothers, Donald Kitterman of Rogers, AR and Darrell Kitterman of
Norwalk, IA; one sister, Janet Lehmann of St. Charles, IA; seven nieces
and nephews, Lori Chumbler of Cave Springs, AR, Lisa Kitterman of
Dallas, TX, Scott Houghtaling of St. Charles, IA, Melissa Gray of Des
Moines, IA, Joey Kitterman of Brownsville, TX, Darron Kitterman of
Norwalk, IA, and Eric Kitterman of Norwalk, IA, and many other family
members and friends.        
    Graveside services will be held on Friday April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.
m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Following the
graveside service, everyone is invited to a luncheon at Fellowship
Bible Church in Rogers, Arkansas.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Semper Fi Fund for

Rita and Girls, So sorry.  Remember lots of fun times camping and
visiting in Iowa.  We will be praying for your comfort.
