Frank Edward Hysell
September 21, 1945-February 8, 2012
Bentonville, Arkansas
Frank Edward Hysell, 66, of Bentonville, Arkansas was called to his
eternal home on February 8, 2012. Frank was born on September 21,
1945 in Toledo, Ohio.
He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Toledo in
1967and his MBA from the University of Michigan in 1968. He served in
the United States Army from 1969-1971. Upon completing his term in the
Army Frank married Alyce M. Ender in1972. After a successful stint as a
CPA with some companies in the Mid-West, Frank and Alyce moved to
Bentonville in 1992 where he finished his 27 year career with Walmart.
He was a loving husband, nurturing father, adoring grandfather, caring
brother and kind friend to many. Frank lived his life to the fullest every
day. Though Frank had a long successful career he knew there was more
to life than work, so each day he set out to invest in the lives around him
that he came into contact with on a daily basis.
Frank’s system for evaluating his life was different from many. He
evaluated his days by the number of miles he logged on a run, the
accumulation of tennis strokes played, the amount of high points reached,
the number of conversations he had with Alyce reflecting on his children
and grandchildren, the number of trips he took with his children, and the
number of hikes done - games played - or stories told with his
grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Ruth.
Frank is survived by his wife of 39 years Alyce,  daughter, Jeannette;
sons, Paul and Jon; daughter, Laura, son-in-law, Brad; three
grandchildren, Sam, Owen and Maggie; and two sisters, Diane and Carol.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 11,
2012 at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas in the Training
Center, 1051 West Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, AR with Dr. Robert
Cupp officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Park and
Recreation Trail Development, Bentonville, Arkansas. Contact: 215 S.W.

Frank participated regularly in my Monday/Wednesday evening
exercise class at the Walton Life Fitness Center.  He would
always be right in the front row, ready to go!  Before class, we
would discuss work, life, his children, hikes, and how he and his
son had hiked every highest elevation to the west of the
Mississippi, and he was currently working on the east.  He also
told me about his daughter, and how proud he was of her.  He
was an inspiration to me and I always told him, & Frank, you are
my hero.  I hope I am in as good of shape as you are, when I grow
up, and we would laugh at that!  I always noticed when he was not
in class, and when I mentioned it, it was always because he had
chosen to go running over being in my class and I would give him
some good-natured harassing over that! Even though I had to quit
teaching those classes last September due to getting another job, I
still thought about Frank, and how motivating he was to me.  I
must say I will miss him, but he has certainly climbed his highest
elevation this week and I am sure he is very much enjoying the
view. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Julie Puryear

Jeannette, Alyce and Family,
We are so sorry to learn of your loss.  May God’s comfort and
peace be tangible in the coming days and weeks. Our prayers are
with you.

I was shocked to read of Frank’s passing. I often visited with
Frank at the Rogers Adult Wellness Center and 5K races. We
both ran and rode the video game back...competing for a score!
He always gave me encouragement and was a friendly face at
events. I am so sorry for your loss.
