Lloyd V. Hurlbert, 98, of Rogers died Thursday, March 10,
2016 at his home. He was born January 2, 1918 in Des
Moines, IA to Vernon and Hazel Hurlbert.

He joined the National Guard, then the Navy in 1937 and was
a Pearl Harbor survivor.  He saw the United States flag raised
at Iwo Jima.  He retired from the Navy in 1963.

Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Jeannine Brown and
husband, Benoit of Marengo, IL and Carolyn Ruhde of Rogers,
AR; a brother-in-law, Floyd Morrison; a sister-in-law, Kathryn
Williams; seven grandchildren, Michael Brown and wife,


Lauri, Donna King and husband, Greg, Mark Brown and wife,
Fena, Sean Brown
and wife, Allison, Matthew Brown and wife, Billie, Douglas
Ruhde and wife, Teresa, Phillip Ruhde and wife, Deborah; 11
great-grandchildren, Angie Bukowski and husband, Rory,
Ashley Morgan, Benjamin Brown and wife, Dana, Paul King,
Ryan Brown and Fiancé, Amanda Kutyba, Alex Brown, Cory
Brown and wife, Niki,  Devon, Logan, Alyxandrah,  Landon;  
11  great-great-grandchildren, Sidney, Cole, Brooklyn,
Maverick, Geoffrey, Aidyn, Annalynn, Sarah, Zachary,
Rebecca  and Asher and numerous nieces and nephews
throughout the United States.

We would like to thank Circle of Life Hospice for their
compassionate care of our father.
