Edward “Tully” Hornor, III, 68, of Rogers, Arkansas died Friday, September 23, 2011 at his
residence in Rogers. He was born January 31, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to Edward Tully
Hornor, Jr. and Nannice Tappan Hornor.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Helena and later attended the University of
Arkansas, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He graduated from Memphis
State University with Bachelors in Business.
He proudly served in the United States Army.
He was co-owner of West Hornor Motor Company, and on the board of directors for the
Arkansas Automobile Dealer Association. Tully was also a member of the Chevrolet Dealer
Council, served on the Beaver Bayou Water Drainage District Board and was on the Maple Hill
Cemetery Board. He was co-owner of Hornor Planning Co. and Hornor Finance Co.
He loved to hunt, fish, watch Razorback Basketball, and spend time with his family at Beaver
Lake. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Helena.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tully is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly Hixon Hornor; one daughter, Mary Hornor
Christian and husband Korey of Rogers; one son, Tully Hornor, IV, and wife Charlene
Costello Hornor of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Nannice Hornor and Dr. Mac McEvoy of
Rogers, Majorie West Hornor of Germantown, TN; five grandchildren, Katie, Collin, and
Carter Christian of Rogers, Caroline and Catherine Hornor of Springdale, AR.
A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM, Monday, September 26, 2011 at Roller-Citizens
Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be at 10:30AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. John’s Episcopal
Church in Helena, Arkansas with Father Travis Frank officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill
Cemetery in Helena, Arkansas.
