Bob Harbit, 70 of Rogers, died Sunday March 28, 2010 in Northwest Medical Center of Benton
County.
He was born November 18, 1939 in Joplin, Missouri to Tommy Harbit and Louella Chatman
Harbit. Bob graduated from Joplin High School Class of 1957.
Bob owned and operated Northwest Pump and Supply, in Bentonville, for 33 years; he was also
co-owner of KNEM/KNMO radio station in Nevada, Missouri. He was a charter member of the
Bentonville Morning Rotary Club, was a Paul Harris Fellow, and was a longtime member of the
Bentonville/Bella Vista Noon Rotary Club. Bob served as vice president of the Northwest
Arkansas Corvette Club, a 32degree Mason, and was an avid Razorback fan. He was a
member of The Church at Pinnacle Hills.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years Wanda Harbit of the home; a son Mike Harbit and his
wife Beverly of Nevada, Missouri, two daughters Stacy Haggerton and her husband Chad of
Midland, Texas, Desiree Harbit of Fayetteville; one step daughter Kathy Garrett and her
husband Mike of Bella Vista; three step sons Kent Horton and his wife Jan of Bentonville, Terry
Horton and his wife Melissa of Bentonville, Larry Horton and his wife Mary of Bentonville; a
sister Carolyn Shively of Joplin, Missouri ; fifteen grandchildren Michelle Doty, Brooke
Wheatley, John Bundy, Lindy Amaya, Tyler Horton, Ace Horton, Ryan Horton,
Stephanie Horton, Miranda Horton, Eric Haggerton, Alex Horton, Bailey Harbit, Chris Horton,
Alec Haggerton, Connor Harbit, and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Wednesday March 31, 2010 in the Fellowship Bible Church
Training Center Sanctuary, of Rogers, with Dr. Rex Horne officiating. Burial will be in
Bentonville Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Ace Horton, Tyler Horton, John Bundy, Monte Terry, Barry Cooksey, and
Bennie Steveson.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Clements, Charlie Scott, Gene Hudgins, Bob Wade, Don Ward,
and Jim Duffer.
Memorials may be made in honor of Bob Harbit to the Samaritan House, 1211 W. Hudson
Road, Rogers, AR 72756.
