Marvin R. Hamilton, 82, of Rogers, passed away Sunday June 27, 2010 at
Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. He was born April 28, 1928 in
Bedford, Iowa to Glade Hamilton and Ina Reynolds Hamilton.
He was raised around New Market, Iowa and attended school at New
Market. After high school he was united in marriage to Esta Mae Jones on
June 7, 1947.
Marvin spent most of his life farming around the New Market area and for
a few years drove a school bus for the New Market school district. He
retired from Eaton’s Corporation in Shenandoah, Iowa in the 1980’s. His
final job before retirement in 2005 was as a security guard for Tyson’s in
Rogers, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Viola Hamilton Foster
and Mary Hamilton Puhl, and one brother Darvin Hamilton.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 63 years Mae Hamilton of Rogers,
Arkansas; daughter Becky Stewart of Bentonville, Arkansas; son and
daughter-in-law Roger and Lyanne Hamilton of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter
and son-in-law Michele and Danny Moore of Springdale, Arkansas; seven
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 7:00PM Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Rogers
First Assembly of God in the Fellowship Hall with Pastor Danny Cheney
officiating.
