Irene Snyder Clark of Bentonville passed away at the Circle of Life House in Springdale, AR
Sunday, December 20, 2009.  She was born March 4, 1931 at White City, Kansas to Harold
Snyder and Coral Jones Snyder.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband W.L.
Bob Clark and her three brothers and their wives, Jack (Oma Lou), Robert (Ima Jean) and
Mitchell Snyder.
She graduated from High School in Bentonville in 1949.  She holds as one of her greatest
accomplishments, her 72 year friendship with Pauline Coons Kirby.  They met the first day of
school at the age of 6 and have been the dearest of friends ever since.  While in High School
she met the love of her life, Wallace L. (Bob) Clark.  They married in 1956 and traveled the
world as she followed her husband during his naval career from post to post.  Upon Bob’s
retirement they returned to Bentonville and opened one of the first Central Heat and Air
Conditioning businesses in the county.  She was very proud of her 30 year career at Walmart
Home Office.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the D.A.R. (Daughters of the
American Revolution), as well as being a Master Gardener.  She also enjoyed her water
aerobics class at the Rogers Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by her three daughters: Susan Weaver and her husband Reverend Bill Weaver
Jr. of Rogers, AR;  Marian Hedges, and her husband Bob  of Burden, KS; and Cathy Ramsey,
and her husband Russell of Liberty Hill, TX.  She is also survived by 4 grandchildren:  Trey
(Amanda) Weaver of Rogers, AR; Macie(Matt) Hedges Panach of Oklahoma City, OK; Drew
Hedges of Burden, KS and Katie Hedges of Shattuck, OK.  She is also survived by two great-
grandchildren:  Madeline and Jhett Weaver of Rogers, AR.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 11am at the Oakley Chapel
Cemetery with Pastor Lee Myane officiating.  Visitation will be at the Stockdale Funeral Home
Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 5-7pm.  A dinner will be held for the family and friends at
the Oakley Chapel Church immediately after the service.  Memorials may be made in honor of
Irene Snyder Clark to the Centerton Living Waters Methodist Church P.O. Box 98 Centerton,
