Adolph John Butrymoicz, 80, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Northwest
Medical Center in Bentonville.  He was born November 22, 1929 in Zigler, Illinois to John
Butrymoicz and Jane Novak Butrymoicz.
He attended school in La Feria, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where his family moved in
1934.  He enlisted in the United States Army on March 21, 1947 and served in the Corps of
Engineers in Hawaii and the Marshall Islands.  After his discharge in 1950 he returned to Texas
and farmed with his father.
In 1953 Adolph and his parents moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where he met and married
Joella Watson in 1960.  The couple returned to La Feria where Adolph farmed until 1966 when
they returned to Arkansas to stay.  Adolph worked for and retired from Emerson Electric
Motor Division in Rogers in 1994.
After his retirement he took up wood crafting and got involved in some of the numerous craft
fairs in Northwest Arkansas. He also enjoyed working in his yard and visiting with neighbors as
they passed in front of the house.  He had his children convinced he could fix anything with
gray tape or a piece of wire.  He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in
Rogers.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Mary, a brother, Frank
Butrymoicz and a sister Irene Butrymoicz Clay.
Adolph is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Joella Butrymoicz, two sons, Douglas
Butrymoicz and wife Jaime of Bentonville, Martin Butrymoicz of Bella Vista; and one daughter
Shelly Butrymoicz of Bentonville; two grandchildren, Jolene Smith and husband Matt of
Centerton, and Ben Bay of Bentonville and four great grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Noah Smith,
Mariah Smith and Isaiah Smith all of Centerton; a niece Mary Kay Hoyer and a nephew Kurt
Clay.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM Friday, January 8, 2010 at Stockdale Funeral
Services in Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Stockdale Funeral
Chapel in Rogers with Msgr. Scott Marczuk officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Vincent
Cemetery with full military honors.  
Memorial may be made in honor of Adolph Butrymoicz to the Salvation Army, 504 North
Dixieland Road, Rogers, 72756.
