Jack Arthur Armstrong, 68, of Rogers, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Northwest Medical
Center in Springdale.  He was born April 23, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to Cecil
Armstrong and Bertha Ross Armstrong.  
He was a computer programmer for IBM for many years then while doing freelance work
developed a program that is still in use today.  He was a voracious reader, a ham operator
and a “Star Trekkie.”   Jack had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.   He was a
wonderful son, brother, husband and dad to all his children and was know
n by them as the
“gentle giant” or sometimes when need arose, “Jack the Gripper” but always with great
fondness!  He was dearly loved and will truly be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol Armstrong in 2007 and 1 brother.
Jack is survived by his wife Paula James Armstrong of the home; 7 children, Christine  
Armstrong and husband Roger Gansen of Hayfield, MN, Connie Freeman and husband
Andrew of Chaska, MN, John Armstrong and wife Christina of Rochester, MN,  Jim
Armstrong of  Aliso Viejo, CA, Jill Gould and husband Mark of Grasonville, MD,
Michael Gibbs and wife Laurie of Little Rock, AR, Craig Berryman of Bella Vista, AR; 2
step children,  George “Buddy” Black and wife Terri of Siloam Springs, Sheryl Bolinger
and husband Brent of Gravette; 1 brother Bill Armstrong and wife Nancy of Poway, CA;
1 sister, Joyce Armstrong
of Bella Vista; father in law Cyrus “Homer” Gibbs of Rogers, AR; and Lucy Armstrong of
Rochester, MN;  thirteen grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
His memory is left to be cherished by his family, extended family, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Stockdale Funeral Chapel
in Rogers with Pastor Galen Pearcy officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time.

Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint, Michigan at a later date.
